About the Ascension Borgess-Lee Foundation

Created in 1986, the Ascension Borgess-Lee Foundation is the official fundraising arm of Ascension Borgess-Lee  Hospital in Dowagiac. Today, when individuals and community organizations provide financial support, they continue the tradition of charitable giving that has always been an integral part of how we support Ascension Borgess-Lee Hospital’s most urgent needs.

Who We Serve

Decisions made by the Board of Trustees are based on the health care needs of the people and the southwest Michigan communities we serve. Our primary focus is on assisting essential local projects that will help make comprehensive health care services accessible to everyone. Ascension Borgess-Lee Foundation is a qualifies charitable organization under section 501( c) 3 of the Internal Revenue Code, ID #38-2860459.

Ways to Give

There are many ways to make a gift to the Ascension Borgess-Lee Foundation. Our staff and trustees welcome the opportunity to visit with you in person, or speak with you by phone or e-mail to discuss your interest in helping us provide the very best health care in southwest Michigan.

Unrestricted gifts to the Ascension Borgess-Lee Foundation are directed by our trustees to the areas determined to be of greatest need. There are also a number of restricted funds that support the designated interest of our donors. You can create an individual or family legacy to ensure that gifts of healing and hope are available to future generations. Financial investments in the Ascension Borgess-Lee Foundation can take the form of current gifts; estate gifts through wills, trusts or other financial arrangements; or through gifts of stock, property or other assets.
